DONATIONS FOR TAAL VOLCANO ERUPTION VICTIMS
Please forward to your friends and families
As you all know, our beloved Philippines has been hit by another natural disaster - Taal volcano eruption. Many of our kababayans had been evacuated from their homes and many of them are now staying in evacuation centres. Some of them have lost their homes to the heavy ashfall from the eruption. We would like to enjoin everyone to please help us donate to the following projects:
UPLB College of Development Communication Council (CDCC)
Student volunteers of the UPLB College of Development Communication Council (CDCC) under the Serve the People Brigade are doing relief operations at Nasugbu, Batangas with 6,300 evacuees (as of January 16, 2020). They are coordinating with the local government unit (LGU) to identify the immediate needs of the evacuees. The CDCC chairperson Nur Castillo, who is from Batangas, heads the operations and posts updates of their activities on their official FB Page: https://www.facebook.com/UPLBCDCSC/
Donations are needed to purchase whatever supplies are needed by the evacuees (e.g. water, medicine, food, etc) as well as fund some of the operations of the UPLB student volunteers (e.g. food, transportation, etc.). See below as to how you can donate.
Agoncillo Relief Center
Local Government Unit of Agoncillo, Batangas has started their relief operations focusing on Agoncillo residents who are NOT in evacuation centers where most organizations are already helping. Their command post is currently in Bauan and their ground operations include accounting for and locating families in and out of the province especially those who are getting no relief from the system. After 3 days, they have reached and helped 5,165 families who sought temporary shelter in a relative or a stranger’s home.
Every single person in Agoncillo had to leave his home with fear of no house or livelihood to go back to. Nobody knows when Taal Volcano will rest or when the people of Agoncillo can go back to their town. Please support them as they also prepare for the aftermath when help could turn thin and few would left on the ground. https://www.facebook.com/lgu.agoncillo/

Donations will be sent to provide needed supplies in the evacuation centers. See below as to how you can donate.
Gawad Kalinga Canada
Team Gawad Kalinga is activating #OperationWalangIwanan for Taal Volcano Eruption. Thousands of families mostly from along the lakeshore municipalities around Taal Volcano have been evacuated. Gawad Kalinga residents (Kapitbahayans) decided to share their homes and resources to host the displaced families. GK communities that are outside the 14-kilometer danger zone serve as evacuation communities and staging points for relief operations for families displaced by the eruption.
Say YES to our invitation to care and share. Through your humble support, we will be able to raise funds for the families displaced by the eruption of Taal Volcano.
